Working with Yumi was great! Very clear communication and always willing to give me an update and answer questions if I wasn't sure where we were at in the process. Seemed like the turn around on her end was really fast as well so I never had to worry too much if forms were submitted right or if there would be any issues. I used her both when I bought my house and then again when I refinanced since it went so well the first time. In fact, main reason I knew to refinance is that she sends out some notices here or there on the state of the market, and after a brief follow up found I could get a rate that was a full two points off. I ended up saving about $240 in expenses monthly because of those email updates. Really can't speak highly enough of the experience and the result.

Andy is extremely quick to respond - he typically responded within 10 minutes for me and I had a LOT of questions and concerns. I previously worked with another lender and they took days to respond to simple questions and never available by phone, but Andy was always easy to get a hold of and always went the extra mile to answer my questions thoroughly. This review is for Yumi Lynch of Vantage Mortgage Group.Buying a home is very stressful and you need a village to get you through it. Your realtor plays a vital role in this process but the next person in line is your mortgage broker. It is not enough that you find someone gives you the best and lowest rate but for someone like me who is very detailed oriented and wants to know why, when, how and what, you need someone who is knowledgeable and also patient. On top of that, someone who is looking out for you as well throughout the process. Yumi is all that and more. She was always available, never rushes, willing to answer any type of questions and ready to share her practical experiences along the way which I found very helpful. Not everything is textbook, it is always good to mix practical and theoretical to get to the best approach.My buyer needed a quick close and Yumi was on top of her game, making sure that the loan processing was moving along in the right direction at the right pace. She empathizes the fact that closing involves such a big expense that she would find means here and there to make sure we are cutting cost and getting the best deal. She does her due diligence and is not afraid to do extra work to make sure you get the best deal. I shopped around for brokers and im glad I ended up with Yumi. I strongly recommend her and I will use her again the future.

My wife, kids and I have lived in our house since 2007. While raising a family, working, and going to college simultaneously, we accumulated an abundance of student loan and consumer debt. Shortly after purchasing our house in 2007, the housing crisis of 2008 came about and we lost about $100,000 in equity. We rode the storm, and continued to make all scheduled mortgage payments on time as the house was always priority number one.Fast forward to Fall/Winter 2019, and our home had appreciated in value substantially since our original purchase in 2007. Between that and making our payments to reduce the principal balance, a large amount of equity in our home had grown. I knew Chris Borg (with Vantage Mortgage Group, Inc.) from my local leads group Chapter of LeTip (Tigard/SW Metro), and had gained trust in him even prior to deciding to explore refinancing our home to see about improving our financial outlook. Little did I know when first meeting him, just how much Chris Borg would help us out with our future goals…We began the process of shopping mortgage rates with Chris. He helped explain the process, the pros/cons of different packages being offered, and professionally steered us toward an option that was in our best interest. Between the historically low interest rates being offered, and the equity in our home, the timing couldn’t have been any better to pull the trigger on a home refinance that could change our life as we knew it.We closed our refinance with Chris Borg at the end of November 2019, and had an excess cash to close check that helped us pay off roughly 75% of our student loan and consumer debt. Our monthly cash flow improved immediately by $2,100 per month from our refinance with Chris (by not being drowned by monthly debt payments), and allowed us to more manageably tackle the remaining 25% of student/consumer debt that will now be paid off much faster. We went from living paycheck to paycheck paying on debt payments with no end in sight, to now looking at being debt free (other than the mortgage payment at a very low interest rate of 3.25%).Although the speed at which we were making progress on that remaining debt has slowed a bit (due to my wife being furloughed due to COVID), we can survive, manage, and still make progress without fear of losing everything. Even though we planned to refinance well before COVID, it unknowingly lined us up to weather yet another storm like happened in 2008.Our family is truly forever grateful for Chris and his service that he provided to us. He helped us to catch the wave, and to weather the storm…and I feel blessed to have met such a valuable mortgage resource we can now consider family.

After we were nearly 3 months in to the refi process with another mortgage firm that didn't seem able to close our refi, I called Vantage. Chris said he had a refi program with a fast approval process, and if we qualified could close the loan quickly. He estimated we could close in 6 to 8 weeks, at the worst. Chris kept us informed and we promptly provided all info he requested on behalf of the underwriters. All total, we signed loan docs in less than 30 days -- start to finish. Chris, under-promised and over-delivered -- very pleased with the fast loan close.

Andy was so knowledgeable and trustworthy and gave us hope that everything was going to be OK and work out just fine. Not only did things work out perfectly, but Andy was able to close in record time, was extremely helpful throughout the process, and he gave us incredible rates. We recently wanted to take advantage of the low interest rates and decided to refinance. Todd Gydesen helped us with our home a few years ago, but had moved over to Vantage. We started with our original lender, but did not have a great experience with their customer service. Thankfully, I kept Todd’s email with new contact information.

He has excellent customer service and explains things very clearly. He kept an eye on the market and offered a better rate. His team worked really fast and the whole process was seamless.

Anthony is the consummate professional. He took my challenging situation and created a mortgage package that would work for me. My husband & I were wanting to move from Colorado to Oregon. We are self-employed, which is a time-consuming process when verifying income. Several years ago, I had owned my own mortgage company, so was very familiar with the mortgage process. However, when trying to purchase a residence in OR- we knew no one, so relied upon the recommendations of our Realtor- that was a giant fiasco and total waste of time! We were extremely frustrated at this point and felt like just a # - we highly recommend avoiding the likes of Academy Mortgage and Caliber Home Loans! I decided to find our own lender and did a thorough Google search and found Andy & Vantage Mortgage. What a night & day difference! He immediately responded to our inquiry (on a Saturday afternoon), requested we email him our information and promised to get the process started immediately. Andy & his team definitely delivered & consistently provided open lines of communication, were always very professional, as well as very informative. This company is very transparent in disclosing all costs associated with obtaining a mortgage- and very fair! Keep in mind, all of this was done while still in Colorado. Now, with much appreciation to Andy & his team, we own a home in Oregon and have begun the moving process!

He really knows the business and was really honest and upfront about everything. I am blown away by this company. They did an incredible job from start to finish and even got us an early close. We contacted Andy on a Wednesday, and had our preapproval the same day. Put in an offer on a house on Sunday and had keys in hand 26 days later. Andy is dedicated to his clients and was available at a moments notice for all of our questions and needs.
